Ashford House offers a wide range of care services, each tailored to suit each individual 's needs
Medical Services
As a resident in Ashford House, you can continue using the services of your own GP. If you feel this may be too far of a distance or may be an inconvenience, we will be happy to refer you to one of our attending general practitioners.
Laundry Service
At Ashford House we provide a laundry service (at no extra charge) which includes the washing, drying and airing of your clothes.
Visiting Services:
Dentist
Any resident who requires dental services should not hesitate to inform us, and we will arrange an appointment.
Optician
Any resident who requires the services of an optician will be provided with an appointment. Check-ups are also provided. This will be provided within the nursing home.
Audiologist
If any resident requires an audiologist, an appointment will be arranged.
Dietitian
A dietitian is available to visit Ashford House should any of our residents require their services.
Podiatrist
Our podiatrist visits Ashford House every three months but if you require a visit more regularly this can be arranged.
Physiotherapist
Our resident Physiotherapist attends Ashford House on a weekly basis, to help aid residents' mobility.
Hairdresser
Our hairdresser visits weekly or by arrangement should you have a special occasion.
Advocacy Service
We have an independent Advocacy Service which visits Ashford House once a week.
Clergy
Clergy of all denominations visit the Nursing Home on a regular basis.
- Long-term residential or nursing care:
For individuals who, through age, illness or disability, require full time nursing care. - Convalescent and post-operative care:
For hospital patients who no longer need hospital care but are in need of time to recuperate.
- Respite care:
Offering home carers the opportunity to take a short break, whilst enabling respite residents to enjoy time in a supportive environment with the chance to participate in social activities.
